My name is Dennis Clark. I began making knives in 2008 after
attending the American Bladesmith Society Intro class. I attended the class because I wanted to
learn how to forge a quality knife blade, and I wanted to learn from the best
instructors available. I was not
disappointed.
I prefer
to make drop point, fighter and Bowie type knives. I like to forge my
knife blades out of high carbon steel.
I currently use Aldo Bruno's 1084 and 5160 steel. I strive to learn as much as I can about
the steel I use.
I usually make whatever I feel
like making at the time. I will occasionally have knives already made and
available for sale. I pride myself in doing good work and try to make each knife
better than the last. To do this, I take my time when making the knife. I want my customers to be pleased with
their purchase.
I am a member of the American Bladesmith Society (ABS), Texas Knifemakers and Collectors Association (TKCA), Arkansas Knifemakers Association (AKA), Balcones Forge, Alabama Forge Council (AFC), and Artists Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA).
